  This is a wonderful antique Persian Bakhshaish from the northwest of the Iran. Bakhshaish, a tribe in the Azerbaijan province of Iran, became victim of modernization and most of its qualified Weavers migrated to larger cities in search of industrial jobs. Although, there are no more carpets produced by the Bakhshaish people, they still remain the most sought after and collectible carpets among the decor professionals as Well as private collectors. Bakhshaish rugs were exclusively made in vegetable dyes along with high-quality wool. This is a magnificent example of the fine workmanship of the Bakhshaish tribe which is well executed bold geometric pattern on a wonderful rust field. A stunning rug for your home or office.
