  This is a beautiful antique Persian Sultanabad carpet. The design of this palace size carpet is known as the all-over Herati design. From the mid 19th-century onward Sultanabad, peresently Arak, carpets were exclusively made for the European market.They often favored the bold floral designs with spacious patterns. All rugs from this period were exclusively made with pure and natural dyes. This carpet has many details which is surrounded by a bold frame of the Semovar design in borders. There are some minor areas of wear in the carpet but in general it is in a sound condition. A real beautiful carpet for your home or office.
